Setting up a winter golf simulator league

Winter is league season at a simulator facility: the same members, every week, for ten or twelve weeks. Here is how a season runs on Facility Pro, start to finish.

Build the league once

• Five short steps: the format (an individual league, or a team league played as scramble, best ball, alternate shot or shamble), the rounds and the course and tee for each, the entry fee, the rules, a review.
• Weekly dates fill in for you from the start date, seven days a round. Change any date you like.
• The course you pick for a round is the rule: a card from another course or tee does not count for it.
• Gross, net or both, with a prize list for each board. Every member is told when the league is made.

Members play when it suits them

There is no tee time to keep. Before each deadline a member books a bay, taps "I'm playing my round now" on the event page, plays, and sends a photo of the GSPro scorecard from the same page. A round that is not sent by the deadline is a forfeit; a round declared in time is played out on its own clock.

Something come up? The front desk can open a round for one member or one team for a day, from the event page, and nobody else's deadline moves.

• The event page opens on Today: the round, its deadline, how many are in and who is not.
• One tap reminds exactly the players whose score is not in yet, with the deadline in the message.
• The standings update by themselves. Ties are settled the way the Terms say (the hardest holes first); a play-off for first can be switched on.

Keep the season alive between rounds

• Course of the Week: a new course every week with gross and net winners (net from 8 rounds that count).
• A points race across the season's events: each finished event gives points by place (100, 80, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 15, 10, 5), ties split the places they fill.
• Drawings and challenges from practice rounds, with the official rules written for you.
• The TV board turns through all of it by itself: the standings, the records, the week's course.
